Michael "Nik" Lewer

Nik Lewer joined Lewer Companies in 2016 as Vice President after being Assistant Vice President and Senior Consultant on Lockton’s Global Benefits Team for nearly a decade. In 2024, he was promoted to COO and serves as President of the Board of Directors for Lewer Life Insurance Company, The Lewer Agency, Lewer Financial Services, and Lewer Canada. He is an active member of Lewer Life’s Audit and Investment Committees, guiding strategic decisions that keep Lewer’s team and clients at the center of the company’s focus. 

In 2026, Nik will become the third generation of Lewers to step into the CEO role. Along with his cousin and family partner, Matt Lewer, Nik intends to keep Lewer Companies private and family-owned, ensuring the business is thriving for the fourth generation. 

Nik has been incredibly fortunate to serve under the strong leadership of his grandfather, D.C. “Chuck” Lewer, and his father, Mike Lewer. He plans to emulate their unique strengths and honor their legacy. This is because Nik knows that being privately-owned is a superpower and that by focusing on Lewer’s culture and core values, great results will follow. 

Nik earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Portland and an Executive MBA from the University of Missouri–Kansas City’s Bloch School of Management. He is licensed as a life and health insurance producer, a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), and holds the Global Professional of Human Resources (GPHR) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications.
