D.C. "Chuck" Lewer founded The Lewer Agency, Inc. in 1956. His mission
was to fill the "benefit gap" that existed in programs covering employees of large
corporations and their independent marketers. He knew that independent
marketers needed an affordable, corporate-style benefit program that could be tailored for their individual businesses.
Chuck Lewer's first customer was one of the nation's largest oil companies, Conoco. Today, more than 50 petroleum, agricultural, greeting card and carpet manufacturing organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada have exclusively endorsed The Lewer Agency, Inc. Presently, we provide benefit programs to the independent marketers of approximately 85 percent of the petroleum oil companies doing business in North America.

We also provide international student medical insurance programs to hundreds of colleges and universities."

Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, The Lewer Agency, Inc. has expanded its operations into Canada through its affiliates, The Lewer Insurance Agency Ltd. (Mississauga, Ontario) and Sainte-Marie, Lewer Inc. (Montreal, Quebec).
Since 1987, we have also recorded significant growth in our affiliated Missouri domiciled insurance company, Lewer Life Insurance Company.
